Uniform The school’s policy is that all children should wear the school uniform every day where practicable. Uniforms stop children competing on the basis of dress and style and this reduces cost to parents. Most importantly, they assist with the safety of all children. If a child misbehaves or behaves dangerously when travelling to or from school the school may be identified and the Principal contacted. When on an excursion teachers may easily identify which pupils belong to our school, thus avoiding dangerous situations. Appendix A has a list of school uniform items and their costs. They are available from the school uniform shop. Please
make sure that all items of clothing are labelled with your child’s
name so that, if items are lost, they may be returned promptly. No Hat, No Play When considering the school uniform it is very important to ensure your child has protection from the sun. Although we have a shady playground the school hat is part of the uniform. Children not wearing a hat will not be able to play and will be asked to sit in the shade. Teachers will endeavour to wear hats whilst on duty, taking classes outside or at assemblies.
