Cassiopeia: - The Queen - wife of Cepheus
Mrs. Heather Stachan - Stage 3
Welcome to Cassiopeia’s class page. Our class is named after a constellation in the Northern hemisphere.

The constellation represents Queen Cassiopeia, wife of King Cepheus, who was beautiful but also arrogant and vain. Legend has it that Cassiopeia boasted that both she and her daughter Andromeda were more beautiful than all the Nereids, the nymph-daughters of the sea god Nereus. This angered Poseidon, ruling god of the sea, who decided to punish Cassiopeia. He threw her into the heavens so that she hangs upside down.

Making Books for Kindergarten
As part of a recent homework task, Cassiopeia created their own picture books aimed at Kindergarten students. We planned the story and designed the layout and illustrations for the books ourselves.
The finished products were so fabulous that we just had to test them out on some Kindergarten classes! We took our published books down to Titania and Umbriel, where we shared our stories and illustrations and asked the students what they thought of our books. All the books were very successful!
